Preparing to download images to the reckoner (software installation)

You tin utilise the any of the software on the "EOS DIGITAL Solution Deejay (CD-ROM)" that came with your camera to import images you have taken to your computer.

IMPORTANT

  • Never connect the photographic camera to your computer before you install the software. The software volition not be installed correctly. Also, make sure to cheque the software system requirements against the specifications of your computer.
  • If an older version of the software is installed, please follow the procedure below to update to the latest version. (The installation volition overwrite the previous installation).

1. Turn the estimator on.

two. Insert the EOS DIGITAL Solution Disk (CD-ROM) into the reckoner.

If the following window appears, click [Run SETUP.EXE].

If y'all are using a Macintosh computer, double-click the CD-ROM icon on the desktop, and then double-click [Canon EOS Digital Installer].


three. Select the area in which y'all live.


4. Select the state where you live, and then click [Next].


5. If a language setting screen appears, select the desired language from the options displayed.


6. Click [Like shooting fish in a barrel Installation] (to install all applications included on the Solution Deejay).

For a Macintosh computer, click [Install].

9. Click [Yes] to accept the License Agreement.


IMPORTANT

  • On some models, the [User Account Control] screen may exist displayed. In this example, please click [Yeah].
  • Installation of Microsoft .Cyberspace Framework iv.5 is required to run the software in Windows 7. If Microsoft .Cyberspace Framework 4.v is not installed on your computer, please read the license agreement and if you concord to the terms, click [Yes] to install Microsoft .Internet Framework 4.5.

10. The following window appears, and installation begins.

12. The following screen appears.

Connect the camera and the estimator

Note

Downloading images to the reckoner

1. Ready the camera's power switch to [ON].

2. EOS Utility Ver. 3.10 starts.

If EOS Utility does not beginning automatically, click [Outset] -> [All Programs] -> [Catechism Utilities] -> [EOS Utility] -> [EOS Utility].

  • Windows 8: Right-click on the [Start] screen and click on [All apps] displayed at the bottom correct of the screen to brandish the [Apps] screen. Then, click [EOS Utility].
  • Windows 8.1: Click on the bottom left side of the [Start] screen to display the [Apps] screen, and and then click [EOS Utility].
  • Mac Os X: Click the [EOS Utility] icon on the Dock.

Important

If yous start EOS Utility before connecting the camera to the estimator, the [EOS Utility Launcher] screen (shown in the example image beneath) volition be displayed. In this case, please click [Shut], and connect the camera to the computer later on the window has closed.

4. To download all images saved to the memory card, click [Start automatic download] in the EOS Utility window.
